Holiday songs. From Halloween to New Year’s Eve, they sing to us from tv, radio, drugstores and supermarkets, the soundtrack to our own holiday season. But who wrote them, and what were they thinking when they did? Sing along with Willa Bassen as she performs these favorites, from Jingle Bells to White Christmas to Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah song, while examining the writers, the times in which they wrote the songs, and the sometimes surprising circumstances that led to their creation.
